There will be no Joe Offer Birthmonth Thread this year. For months I have wrestled with this issue. It was only in the wee hours of this morning that I made the decision. My entourage tried to convince me to go on with the planned thread, but I could not do it in good faith. "Why?",you ask. Because of a percieved lack of interest on the part of my fellow Mudcateers. See EXHIBIT B to understand how I percieved this supposed lack of interest. Perhaps I am in error, as my entourage suggest. Perhaps it was just a lousy thread title that caused no one to open it & post to at. Perhaps. Nonetheless, I am greatly greived...not for myself, but for poor Joe Offer who, I am certain, has looked forward to this year's thread with great anticipation & much delight. Bless his poor broken heart! But, dear Joe, be of good cheer; the Joe Offer Birthmonth Celebration will nonetheless begin at midnight in the Ethereal Kingdom of Mississippi! And, perhaps I am completely wrong...perhaps this may yet become the JOE OFFER BIRTHMONTH THREAD of 2004!! Howbeit, have a HAPPY BIRTHMONTH, JOE OFFER!! khandu |
