Thank you for those fine words Duncan, the conversation on Sunday morning decided the highlight of the night was your "computer song" please don't take this too hard your other contributions came in for praise as well.
The "organisers" consist of Wombat and me, the bar staff are always superb on such occasions and the club, with whom we had a slight contratomp early this year about running the event have invited us back next year.
The final total, for which I have a cheque sitting on my desk ready to send, was £320 so once again a huge thank you to all who came and sang and all those who made such generous financial contributions and/or donated to the list of raffle prises.

We did indeed Jim .......... thank you to everyone who came and made a musical extravaganza and made very generous contributions to the Rescue Boat Fund, I'll be sending a cheque for at least £310 on Monday, a figure which I am going to try and get the Milnsbridge Socialist to add to, cos they have good night when taking were probably quadruple their normal

Not that my friend drink a lot you understand!

Well only one day to go, The Rescue Boat have sent me a Sweat Shirt and a Polo shirt to raffle, I've bought the vegetables for the Chilli and the curry and will start making those tonight, much better after they have matured overnight. Got to restring the guitar as well and trust we will have not only a good night musically but that w ecan raise some cash for the Rescue Boat......... see as many of you there as can make it

Just a quickie, Mr Raggy, is it a session - one person starts a toon/song, others join in if they can/want to - or a sort of sing/playaround where we each take it in turns, then clap everyone else. I'm definitely up for the first, but alas I like playing too much to enjoy the second.

I've had replies off a great many people now, and space might be at a premium, I'd love to accomodate everyone, however the club has a specific capacity and my house only has so much room, and "is this real whisky" can only be played by a finite number of people. Well the latter part is not strictly true, I can always find TWO bottles to play it with.
If you are going to come to the do however, it would be really helpful to know in advance, for catering and bar staff

Big Spiders should be pan fried in butter and serve knapped with a red wine sauce, smaller one's are best treated in a similiar way to white bait, tossed in seasoned flour and quickly dried fried in very hot oil. A light green salad provides a good side dish to both

I thought you would have found a way of gourmet roasting them drizzled in olive oil and sprinkled with some of that fab cheese you get and the odd walnut or two - or have you so much money these days you can afford to eat and but proper food at proper shops!

My liege since our last encounter I have been chained in the cellar doing the scivvying chores that wenchdom requires - ( and dealing with two oiks who call themselves my sons but seem to be sent home from school every other day! have also had puter problems preventing me from getting on mudcat)

I would sincerely hope my liege that I will be there to serve at your table once again - hope to be able to remember the Runswck Bay lifeboat song I wrote too - Ossenflags did you ever learn the Whitby one?
