Paul has more, I think, of a feel for the stage. Whereas I have it more for the notes themselves. I love record making and mixing, arranging, producing.

That I love. I love to make beautiful things, but I don't like to perform.

Happy Birthday, Art. Great memories of a performance by Art, accompanied by the one & only Jackson C.Frank at Chelmsford Folk Club, back in the 60s. Paul Simon had returned to America, probably because of the release of 'The Sound of Silence', but Art with JCF was superb. A very different evening from what we were expecting, but superb none the less.

Trouble is that theirs is more of a rope bridge - it's there, but it's a bit wiggly and you don't really want to rely on it unless you have to...

It's thrilling to hear a male voice that is truly beautiful. I would say that Art Garfunkel has one of those voices.

I love his voice and also his character. Apparently he helped a blind man for many years by leading him around. Either he or the blind man was called 'Darkness', which influenced the line in Sound of Silence. ("Hello Darkness my old friend...")
