Subject: RE: Bob Dylan: Happy 69th birthday From: GUEST,David E. Date: 24 May 10 - 04:50 PM It's been 35 years since my first Dylan concert and I'm sure there are people here who can claim 45 years or more. I know he hasn't always been wonderful through the years, but isn't it nice that he's still out there touring and recording? Happy Birthday Bob... and thank you. David E. |

Subject: RE: Bob Dylan: Happy 69th birthday From: gnu Date: 25 May 10 - 03:01 PM My best buddy from ten years old to first year uni (we were roomies for a year at uni... he got thrown out) shot himself a few years ago on Dylan's Bday. He was rather passionate about Dylan's music. Since Dylan is such an amazing writer, I kinda figure it was the voice which drove him to suicide. Easy, easy... it was a joke. |

Subject: RE: Bob Dylan: Happy 69th birthday From: PoppaGator Date: 26 May 10 - 02:22 PM Happy belated birthday to the creator of about half of my repertoire. I like everything about him, including his unique delivery of his songs. When I sing a Dylan song, I'm not trying to imitate his sound ~ who would? ~ but I am certainly deeply influenced by his phrasing, and by the feeling he is able to convey. |
