They say tickets will be slightly less than the average monthly wage.

I am sure that is true. To be fair to Dylan though, that is probably what it costs to take the show out there. Flying that equipment and a large road crew around the world does not come cheap.

On the other hand, an acoustic guitar, three or four harmonicas, and a harmonica rack are all that the young Bob Dylan would have needed.

The times they are a-changin'!

Don't know what happened to my blue link.

You're right Alan.
The last time I saw Dylan (mid nineties)there were quite a few tourbuses & semi trucks parked outside the concert hall.
He does not travel lightly.

DB.

Do big tours really fly all their equipment to overseas venues? I should think that much of it would be rented locally.

Interesting. I wonder if he will play both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City? (Saigon)

I bet there are more people there who know his songs than you think...but they may still have trouble decyphering what Bob's up to, depending on the songlist he chooses, and how he decides to play the songs (he's always changing the arrangements).

The locals will have as much trouble understanding him as we do.

I don't have trouble understanding him. But I can understand why some people do. ;-)

I'm with LH on this. I have no difficulty understanding Dylan but I too understand why some people might.
