Imagine the bereftitude felt by faraway disaligned nations who lack their own weapons of nukular mass destruction and are thus relatively cheap and easy to decimate while they become frozen like "a deer in the headlights" as the US Marines and the 6th Fleet close in to smoke them suckers out and give 'em a real taste of democracy (Republican-style)! He hasn't done as much TO us, as FOR his billionaire buddies.
What was done to us was a phoney election for starters.
Reversal of 90% of his campaign promises.
What is being done now is to lay a groundwork
that will be difficult or impossible to undo.

To steal as much as possible to weather the next 20 years
no matter who is in the white house.

Blame the deficit on the next 4 guys.
Blame failures on the previous guy.

Blame the unpatriotic people who dare dissent.

C'mon, folks, give the shrub a break, would you? Everybody has at least one redeeming quality. Why, just a couple of weeks ago I saw him on the TV reading a book to little kiddies. Just warmed my heart, kind of "nuclear"-like. Of course, the title of whatever book it was has now been entered into those kids databases. For the children, no child left behind, so to speak.

George also wants to eliminate "double taxation" on stock dividends. This will be extemely useful to me if I should ever be in a situation when I actually own any stock. I am confident he will soon extend this philosiphy to eliminate other forms of double taxation, such as sales tax, property tax and fuel tax.

Also, he has a dog. Pet owners are good people, by and large. As I understand it, the dog pees on a tree, and the puddle soaks into the ground. While it may kill the grass, certain microorganisms living in the soil benefit from the Nitrogen and other nutrients. I think this is the basis of the "trickle down" theory of economics.

Finally, W may just be the catalyst that Americans need to try and get back some of the control which we've allowed the government to take. I know that sounds like a conservative position, but I tend to be liberal. How things get all twisted, don't they? But I am very afraid of Bush's government meddling in my affairs, and just sickened by politics in general, as it's practiced in the U.S. today. I know plenty of others feel as I do.

So maybe we need a friggin moron dictator to finally wake up the American Apatheticast Party with a demand for real change. This is a huge force to be reckoned with, I think. Way more than Democrats and Republicans combined. Thanks for the rant, BlueJay

Aside from being a pet owner (actually, the Bush's have two dogs, one Scottie that was a gift from former NJ Gov. Whitman and the other, one of former First Dog Millie's offspring), I seem to recall that the Texas Rangers were on a relative winning streak when he was part of the ownership consortium.

Of course, that only counts as being "good" if you like baseball and have an affinity for the Texas Rangers . . . .

Perhaps those of you who find the President so disagreeable could find something to carp on about without personal attacks. I doubt that any of you know him well enough to make such remarks.

As far as simple-mindedness goes, remember that many of our early Presidents were lacking in formal education. Abraham Lincoln, for instance.

Do you want a highly educated person for a leader, or do you want someone who can speak in uncomplicated terms, so that everyone has a chance to understand? Do you want him to speak in fluent legalese just to prove that he can?

No, I didn't vote for him. I think, though, that by belitting him the way some of you do, you are putting yourselves on the level where you perceive him to be.

I have also said before, that some of you are unaware of the issues and are simply following the "let's bash Bush" bandwagon.
