My small contribution from the wonderful Wayne Henderson Festival
below. I've been sitting in front of Doc's shows for 30 years.
It was fun to get a photo from the performer's point of view.

Doc Watson at the Wayne Henderson Festival

Side Note -->
In 30 years of listening I'd never heard Doc perform a Dylan tune.
When he and Charles Welch and Richard Watson sang BUCKETS OF RAIN
little did we know what would follow! --> 1 1/2 hour rain delay!

Voyager, I'd love to see your pix, but the link doesn't seem to work.

BTW, I heard Doc do "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" at the Common Ground on the Hill Festival a few years ago. Fabulous -- sounded MUCH better than Dylan ever did!

Cheers,
Nancy

Voyager,
You should have listened more carefully to the intro. Charles explained that the last time they appeared at Wayne's festival (Ten years ago I believe) they sang this song and the heavens opened, and wouldn't you just know it we got a repeat performance.Bet he doesn't tempt fate next time.

Can I just a add an appreciation to Doc and team and Wayne and his team for once again putting on such a great festival in a most beautiful setting.

Happy Birthday Dr. Watson (March 3rd).

Keep A Goin'
When it looks like all is up,
Keep a-goin'!
Drain the sweetness from the cup,
Keep a-goin'!
See the wild birds on the wing,
Hear the bells that sweetly ring,
When you feel like singin', sing--
Keep a-goin'!

Henry Gibson (Nashville - 1975)
