Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Farmer From: Gern Date: 02 Apr 08 - 05:11 PM Would it help if I said there's a recorded version sung by the Wicked Tinkers. They are a sort of tribal pipe and drum trio with some slam-danceable reels and so on. One of them sings it acapello. |

Subject: Lyr Req: The Farmer From: Gern Date: 01 Apr 08 - 11:09 AM Looking for a bawdy old favorite that has titillated parlors for generations. It starts "There once was a farmer..." and proceeds in couplets to lead the listener to expect a dirty word at the end of every other line. "She lifted her skirts and she showed us her/ ruffles and laces..." Can anybody identify this and write it out for me? |
