Subject: lute harp, Pakistan From: Alice Date: 04 Apr 98 - 04:06 PM I have a folk harp that I recently acquired and am enjoying, but I have not been able to find out much about this type of harp, even from the company that sold it to me. Since there seem to be lots of harpists on this forum, if any of you could provide feedback regarding this type of harp, I would appreciate it. There is a photo and description of it here... http://www.mcn.net/~acflynn/harmon.html
There is a sticker on the wood that says "Made in Pakistan". Thanks for any info. alice |
Subject: RE: lute harp, Pakistan From: Helen Date: 04 Apr 98 - 04:24 PM Alice, The harp mailing list has talked about Pakistani harps a few times over the last year. I put info on how to look up the thread archives and how to join the list in the thread called "Info on Celtic instruments". I have never actually seen a Pakistani harp, so I can't really comment. Subject: RE: lute harp, Pakistan From: Alice Date: 04 Apr 98 - 04:30 PM Thanks, Helen, I had already seached the Harp mailing list already, (as well as everything else on the 'net' regarding harps that I could find) but I will go back and try the mailing list archives again. alice |
