Subject: Simon and Garfunkel Query From: Martin Graebe Date: 24 Aug 08 - 07:55 AM Not the sort of thing I usually ask, but we have a black and white poster of S&G in what looks like a church with microphones set up for recording. Size approx 30 x 20 inches square folded to 10 inches square. Shan thinks she got in one of her S&G LPs, bought new in the UK. We would like to reunite it with the appropriate LP but she can't remember which. Does this ring any bells with anyone? Martin Graebe |

Subject: RE: Simon and Garfunkel Query From: Megan L Date: 25 Aug 08 - 05:19 AM greenjack if you give us and idea when it might have been bought we could perhaps narrow it down I found this on a discography Jan 1965 UK STUDIO & UK RADIO - Paul Simon ? I Am A Rock ? Leaves That Are Green ? A Church Is Burning ? April Come She Will ? The Sound Of Silence ? A Most Peculiar Man ? He Was My Brother ? Kathy's Song ? The Side Of A Hill ? A Simple Desultory Philippic ? Flowers Never Bend With The Rainfall ? Patterns ? Bad News Feeling Recorded in a one hour session by Paul Simon at a BBC studio in London England. Twelve of the above (I am not sure which was omitted, anybody know?) were broadcast on BBC Radio with introductions by Judith Piepe on the FIVE TO TEN religious show. If it was after that i would have to look again. |
