I think the first couple of things you need to load somebody else's interview are 1) the interview and 2) permission.

I am assured by the station manager (who is NOT as student!) that the interview WILL air on Monday, May 18, at 6 p.m. MDT (unless Obama or something/one of that ilk preempts it).

Btw, I'm not a hockey fan, but since Ken mentioned the hockey game played in my adopted town Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I'll share that game's final score.

"In what was a see-saw struggle that extended beyond regulation, David Steckel of the Capitals scored in overtime for a 5-4 victory that forces a seventh game tomorrow at Verizon Center in Washington, where the Penguins won in overtime Saturday.

The winner will go to the Eastern Conference final. The other berth will be filled by the winner of the series between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes, which resumes tonight with Carolina holding a 3-2 lead."

Penguins, Capitals take series to the hilt
Tuesday, May 12, 2009
By Robert Dvorchak, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Also "for the record" (if you will pardon that pun), here's this informational snippet:

Monday night Pens game most-watched hockey game in FSN history
Tuesday, May 12, 2009
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Monday night's telecast of the 2009 NHL Round Two Game 6 between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins registered a 24.2 average rating, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The telecast, viewed by more than 277,800 households in the Pittsburgh DMA, was the most-watched NHL game ever on FSN Pittsburgh and the highest rated NHL game for any FSN regional sports network.

The game was the most-watched program in the Pittsburgh market on Monday night, beating out such programs as ABC's Dancing with the Stars and CBS's CSI: Miami.

The previous record holder was Saturday's 4-3 overtime Penguins win in Game 5, which recorded a 21.4 average rating. FSN will televise Game 7 on Wednesday.

Of course, if that interview with Bruce Murdoch had aired as was expected, there would've been far fewerpeople watching that hockey game.

:o)

Given that "The winner will go to the Eastern Conference final" and since the Washington's team's name is "The Capitols", I gather that "Washington" here means "Washington D.C." and not the Pacific coast state of Washington.

I'm patting myself on the back for being so smart.

Jeeze Louise - am I confused.

I take it the time to listen is Monday, May 18? At what time? And if I can't listen then, if I go to the website of the radio station, I look for what link to listen to an archived podcast?

Or none of the above?

It occurs to me that one good outcome of Bruce's interview not being broadcasted until next week is that Neil will be out of the hospital after his last chemo treatment, and he'll be able to hear the radio show at home.

If you happen to read this thread this week Neil, or your wife Christine reads it and tells you about it, know that we're sending you Positive Vibrations!

People in Oz, Guam, Alaska, the Canary Islands, Mongolia, Barsoom, Luna City, L-5, Ring World, Lundemark's Nebula and other such places will have to figure it out themselves.

The Internet radio site is www.kisu.org.

LATER the interview will be posted on our Library website, after it's redesigned.

Azizi, if it's 1 AM Tuesday in the UK, it's the 19th
If it's 8 PM Monday in New Hampshire, it's the 18th
If it's 6 PM on Monday in Idaho, it's the 18th

And gnu, gno. Not everybody does daylight time. There's a big chunk of Indiana that doesn't. I'm not sure if they SAY they don't do the D thing or whether they say they flop back and forth from Central Time to Eastern Time.

MOST of Indiana doesn't do Daylight Savings Time, but some counties do. Those around Louisville and Chicago, yes. Otherwise, no. The statement was once made in the Indiana State Legislature that going to DST "would confuse the cows."

I wish I was making that up.

Arizona doesn't do DST either.

Just in case anyone is interested and doesn't know the results of the Pittsburgh Penguins vs Washington Capitals ice hockey game on Wednesday 5/13/2009, the Penguins won with a score of 6-2.

Here's more information for hockey fans:

Eastern Conference final: Penguins vs. Hurricanes
Thursday, May 14, 2009
By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

"The Penguins will face the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference final...

The Penguins will have home-ice advantage in the series, which will begin Monday.

The Penguins captured the season series, 2-1-1, but Carolina won the most recent meeting, 3-2, in overtime April 4 at the RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C.

This will be the first playoff meeting between the Penguins and Hurricanes.

The winner of the Penguins-Carolina series will face the winner of the Western Conference final between Detroit and Chicago in the Stanley Cup final."

Since this is decidedly off-topic, I won't continue posting these updates on this thread.

Best of luck to each of these teams-but especially to the Pittsburgh Penguins!

Adrien, I'm sure that you didn't mean to imply that I would ever engage in "back stabbing, blows below the belt and so on". But just for the record, let me say this:

I posted the information about the hockey games because in a couple of earlier posts to this thread Ken had mentioned watching one of these games while waiting for Bruce's radio show to air.

I'm always mindful of the fact that Mudcat threads are archived and that members and guests can read these discussions (and can even add new comments to these discussions) weeks, and months, and years from now.

As I mentioned in one of my posts, I'm not a hockey fan. But since I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (home of one of the competing hockey teams), I felt that I should share this information since that game had been mentioned. Otherwise, some reader might maybe in a trivia pursuits kind of way, or maybe because he or she is really in to hockey "Who ended up winning that hockey game that was mentioned in this thread".

Again, Adrien, I'm sure you weren't referring to me when you wrote that comment about no back stabbing. But because future readers might not know that, I thought I should set the record straight.

**

Moving right along, I'm looking forward to hearing Bruce's interview and I'm curious if he has composed any new songs since his Matters Of The Heart CD was produced last year.

Azizi, hockey IS backstabbing, hitting below the belt...it's kind like figure skating combined with the sort of dirty fighting you'd find in some Pittsburgh bars that cops only enter in platoons. Someone described it as "a fight where you can take a break by ice skating."

I sorta suspect Bruce has new stuff. I dunno...even I have not heard the interview.

Tomorrow, Monday, May 18 (or Tuesday, May 19, for those in the UK, etc.)

Oh gawd...I'm still confoooooosed....Mudcat's on American time, so that's er....5 hours behind us, making it er....7pm over there now...and Rappy posted at 6pm, which is 11pm over here, stating there were 2 more hours to go, so that would make it 8pm over there..and er.....she takes off her socks and shoes..getting her toes ready...

9pm
10pm
11pm
12.00 m something
1.00am...

By Jove! I think I have it!!!

It's at 1am over here....and now..it's 2 minutes past midnight, so that's er...only...58 minutes to go!!!

YAY!!!

But..have I got the right day? Because over here, today is already tomorrow, so Rappy may be hearing it yesterday, in which case, will I have missed it entirely..because how can I hear something in the future that's actually in the past...?

And is it actually being aired at 1am? Or is it 'somewhere in the programme'? And how long is the programme?...'cos if I'm already in tomorrow, then Rappy may have caught up with me by the time we get to hear it, in which case, that may mean I'm into Wednesday over here already..and that would mean I'd have missed the entire programme!

Oh Boy....my head hurts... ;0)

Bruce, can you send me a copy, please..I think it may be the safest way... :0)
