A quick search gives only this:

I’ll try elsewhere.

Gee, I wish I had known about this question before I went to the Mercy convent infirmary to play Scrabble this afternoon. I did a singaround with the sisters last week, and I asked them if they knew "Hail Glorious St. Patrick," and they all did - but we didn't get around to singing it.
The Mercy convent at Charleville is pretty empty these days - it's a comfortable, old building with squeaky floors, used mostly as a history museum for the Mercy Sisters. It seemed there were only two or three sisters living there when I visited about five years ago. They were eager to greet us Americans, and they wanted to be sure we got full explanations of everything in their museum. I know a lot of elderly, Irish-born Mercy sisters. I must know somebody who knew Sr. Agnes way back when.
And they served the best tea I have ever had in my life.
I'll put this in the back of my mind and see if I can dig up anything about Sr. Agnes.

Martin

Your link takes me to the non-visible start of the book. Here's a link to the relevant page (67) where the information is: Migration in Irish History 1607-2007.

It gives 1853 as the date of writing.

Though I don't sing hymns now, I can still sing the 1st 2 lines from my schooldays!

Mick

No probs Martin.

I don't know if some of the parameters in your google link made it a session specific link. I removed a load of stuff from my page ref and it seemed to still work!. (I often use an ungoogle website on google references to get rid of extraneous stuff, though I did this one manually).

Mick

I made Martin's URL into a link and shortened it, so it may be my fault. Martin's URL is what's visible.
Mea culpa.
Joe
