Hello Nigel, thank you for your deication to archiving these timeless songs from a bygone and nostalgic lived through by many a British primary school pupil in the 70's-90's. Do you by any chance have these songs saved? I'd love to add them to my own collection for posterity? I can be reached via ufodmt@gmail.com ~ many thanks.

So that is it. "Music Time" BBC television broadcasts to schools ran from Autumn 1970 to Summer 1994.
The above list is all the songs included in those broadcasts.
The pupils booklets do not seem to appear on eBay as frequently as "Singing Together" or "Time and Tune". This may be because of a move away from this sort of teaching, or because less books were needed for a television programme than with a radio programme.

As ever, if anyone needs a song from the above I can arrange to transcribe, or to email a scanned version.

First attempt to catalogue these, using the link above, and the titles they use. Because of frequent re-use of whole shows I find I already have the full run (just one of each).

Academic year 71-72:

Posting elsewhere I noticed that there appear to be missing items for BBC Schools Broadcasts of series which include folk songs.
This is an attempt to correct.

While I'm happy for comments, additions, etc I have an edit key for the thread, so some things may change or get deleted.

Information on Music Time, and the dates of different booklets now found Here
On past experience of losing pages I will be taking a copy of that page.
The page makes clear: Units of Music Time did not always have official titles. The subject of the end-of-term concert or the common theme of the term's listening music is used for want of an official title.
