I'm considering putting on a bodhran worshop in the Boston area maybe some time in Feb. but wanted to get a feel to see if there was enough interest first. Master player & maker, Mance Grady had said that if there was an interest he'd be happy to teach it. I'd have to say that, IMHO Mance is probably one of the top players & makers in US today. Barry

I would be all over it! I took a few lessons with woman named Loreen a few years ago...but would love to take a class with Mance, I have heard he is great!

I am also in the market for a new drum.

Hi Peg, trying to drum up interest (bad, real bad, hee, hee). Ttere's a few people on the bodhran newsgroup that said they'd make it for sure but I gotta know that they'd dtill be a bit more. I'll keep on it. Barry

good luck Barry and keep me posted! Methinks a great many people who grudgingly accept that boudhran players are a necessary evil but wish some of us would learn to play better might think this workshop is a GOOD IDEA! :)

When you coming back to the sessiun? I did not make it last night (good thing I went home early actually, much weirdness to deal with when I got there better absorbed at 9 pm than 1 am!)

I will attend next week most likely. If I don't see you Happy Holidays!
