This is a web site for B&B's the one,s at Barlow or Bawtry Rd or Brook St are all a short drive way you WILL need a car or organise a Taxi to collect and take you where you want to go.
Camblesforth is a very long village with at the top end a large housing estate and a power station.
It is very much like the Jug and the George & Dragon for transport so you will need to make arrangments if you are going to consume alchol and travel

Is there space in the B&B still or do I have to book a campspace? Could someone send me a phone number please?

If I camp and Manitas doesn't come I will have room for 2 bodies in the East Wing of the tent.

Following a review of our much-overstretched finances it now appears, sadly, that I may have to forego this years's Yorkshire celebrations, coming as it does shortly after Portaferry and Groeningen.

Many thanks, however, to Noreen and alanww for your kind offers!

Wishing everyone a great time in May!

You will from the new location, across the fields be able to view the "largest coal fired power station in western europe"
This one has 12 cooling towers and is a must in the eye spy book of Power Stations

mooman - Richard
I'm sure Noreen is right. If someone local can help with the transport from the ferry to Selby, I shall be bringing a campervan so I could very easily also pack a tent, along with a bed and sleeping bag! I could even pack some extra bacon for butties at breakfast! You would be very welcome! We can discuss it further at Portaferry at the weekend.

I'm sure a space could be found for you in a tent, moo dear... :0)

Seriously, I can bring a spare tent and all the accoutrements for you if you wish to stay on site.

Do we get as good a view of the cooling towers from this new location as from the Jug, Jane? Cooling towers at night can be so atmospheric...

Hi JJ- you owe me an e-mail!

Dear All,

Just checking practicalities here.

If I come (I enjoyed the last two immensely) it will probably be as a foot passenger on the Zeebrugge Hull ferry...arriving Friday am and leaving Sunday 19h00. Can anyone advise on travel connections to Selby and is there a convenient B&B nearby? This will help me decide on attending.

Many thanks in advance.
