Subject: RE: Devil's Hornpipe From: greg stephens Date: 19 Mar 03 - 12:43 AM sorry I dont know the John Hartford recording. The Devil's Hornpipe is an alternative name for the very well-known tune the Devil among the Tailors, or the Devil's Dream, which should be easily locatable on the net. Speed the Plough(Plow) is another very well-known tune, but I've never heard it called the Devil's H. |

Subject: RE: Devil's Hornpipe From: GUEST Date: 19 Mar 03 - 01:17 PM Speed the Plough and The Devil among the Tailors are both reels and different tunes. Gene Goforth's Devil's Hornpipe has similarities to both but again is a different tune. Jim McLean |
