My dear mooman - please start a new thread again: the Definitive Final Instructions in due time (at April 13, when I have to order my price reduced tickets).
- Give at first the place of the gathering first again, please, and where to phone you just in case simmering in Niort without a track to La Garenne [?].
- Invite the (non)participants to post their interesting questions on this thread and to confine the really important contributions about organization, floor space, and contributions to feeding to the new thread.
[I'm alarmed by the necessitiy to sift through 193 posts to gather substantial information. Yea, I should have copied and pasted your informations in time to a special notice board for my own use].
- For breakfast I recommend what the French general defending Straßburg took in 1793: vin blanc du pays and a hard cheese. I tried it, too, and it tastes much better than the average French breakfast they serve nowadays with so called coffee and a brioche.

Eager to meet you
W.

Oh, but what if l'aerophone should fall into "Le Canal en Avril", peut-etre???!

Then the sound of rejoicing shall ring around La Venise Verte peut-etre...?

Decision time folks!

Would you like your "traditional EuroGathering outing" (this year a trip by punt on the Venise Vert canals: maybe with instruments...Greg with "Le Canal en Avril" sur l'aerophone peut-etre? Everyone might also get the chance to "power" the punts and risk falling in when the pole gets stuck as it inevitably does sometimes!) to be on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning? (Some people indicated they might like to go to La Rochelle market on Saturday morning).

I'll start a new countdown thread when Mudguard's automatic clickometer reaches 21 days/three weeks!

Best regards,

Ricardo

Sad to say, despite all the kind offers I have received, I won't be able to come. The air fare from Stanstead is way above the family budget. I wish you all the very greatest of times as they have been in the past. This will be the first euro gathering I have missed.I will miss it sorely and your excellent company.

Have a great time.

Hi Wolfgang,

I'll do the maths and check with the Jerrams and get back to you shortly on that. With Andreas in the house a good proportion of the floorspace is already taken up! (about 2.5 x 1.5 metres perhaps if he curls up a bit?)

if it is less of a problem if I'm B&Bing that's no problem since I'm more or less undecided. In that case, would I call the B&B from here?

La Rochelle airport is about 45 minutes and I can certainly collect you from there and take you back if you can come via that route.

In hope!

Well, I am trying to develop a cunning plan! More cunning than the rat Oakley has sewn into his trousers during the winter time.

I can't leave Cleckheaton before 16.30 on Friday 29th April (As I have to go to school and Mrs V won't write me a note for my headache!) I need to be back on Monday, at some time as Mrs V won't write me a note for Tuesday either!!

How far is La Rochelle airport from Niot9 ?

Just for the (public) record, I don't think I'llwon't be going this year anyway. :/ I've a lot of sailing practice (and possibly some ropemaking, too) to do in the days surrounding the gathering, and I'm afraid I won't be able to afford losing the 3-4 days of school if I am to sail with the tourists with a safe mind... I'll try again next year though! :)
