Even though the Mudcat's been down, the Mudcat Songbook has still been adding songs to the list!! If you haven't checked out the SONG CHALLENGE! thread, do so now and see where Amos' and LEJ's songs came from! And Mbo's been writing something sad and romantic again (very nice). And yes, I've added a little ditty myself. There ya go, have fun!

Well, this has been a Red Letter Day for the Mudcat Songbook!!! It took Amos no time at all to win the First Ever Mudcat Song Challenge with 'Miz Henley's Revenge', a gem of a song about a fella escaping down a pole to avoid the police! And our own dear Mbo just sent me another one of his beautiful romantic songs, 'Firefall', full of unrequited love . . . ah, youth . . .

Please check out both of these newest additions to the Mudcat Songbook ASAP! You'll be sorry if you don't, I guarantee!

And Amos is definitely 'hot' today -- I've added a second song of his to the Mudcat Songbook under the Thread Songs category, this was is called 'Away Upon The Mudcat'. The rumor had it that there was a great song on the 'How Many Folkies Does It Take...' thread, and the rumor was right! I've just added 'How Many Folkies Does It Take To Change A Lightbulb' by Amos to the Mudcat Songbook under the Thread Songs category. If you want a good chuckle to end your weary winter work week on, this song will do the job! Funny stuff, Amos!

Since Part I of the 'Additions' thread has reached 50 messages, I'm starting Part II so that it will cut down on the download time for a lot of people. If you'd like to read Part I, click here. --------------------------------

The newest additions to the Mudcat Songbook are both by Mbo. In 'The Dark And The Light' , he has adapted a translation of a poem in Irish by Richard Burke, and 'What Did I Do' is one of his family's favorites. Check 'em out!
