If this needs to be deleted, so be it, but I bet most of the Mudcat folks don't know about it. National Public Radio is supposed to be a 'liberal' media outlet, right? I know that NPR is where we get 4 hours of uninterrupted folk music on Saturdays in Austin. Well, NPR is now headed by a former CIA man: NPR headed by former CIA man And here's a piece about the Pacifica station. Isn't that one of NPR's flagships stations? More CIA involvement: Pacifica Radio CIA controlled? So, folks, is CIA control of NPR good or bad? I think it's bad. |

Pacifica is really, truly independent and progressive (the only radio network that still is). The paper you linked to is at least 15 months old, and the takeover referred to in it has been averted/reversed. Pacifica has nothing whatsoever to do with NPR. Not legally. They are the govt assassins who overthrow other countries and are MUCH more effective and deadly than the FBI. Now they are permitted to 'operate' in the U.S. They've always been involved in propaganda campaigns, and now they're taking over control of the big govt-sponsored public radio system in the U.S. I just don't like the idea of spies, propagandists and assassins inserting their brainwashing into this format. |

It provides that any citizen, even native-born, who supports even the lawful activities of an organization the executive branch deems "terrorist" is presumptively stripped of his or her citizenship. That's why VietNam and all our other 'involvements' recently have been classified as 'police actions'. So the Bushes can't technically declare war on any sovereign state, or they'd be subject to prosecution by the World Court. But they CAN declare war on 'terrorism'. Be sure to tell your lawyer that in a couple months when you're arrested for being stump-ignorant of what's going on around you. Call it the Conspiracy Invention Agency. The idea being that, in all the confusion, people lose sight of the real conspiracy that they are engaged in, and become reluctant to believe this is real, or do anything about it.
