Every time I see this thread I read it as "GATEWAY". I have a crappy Gateway PC and I automatically read the thread and suddenly find it's "GETAWAY".

Bill and Rita, I clearly remember you saying last year that you were working on finding a new GETAWAY place somewhere in Washington . I think I offered the perfect solution! SEATTLE!!!

Now, Bobert, I have no idea how these songs go. The closest to blues I've ever come is the color I turned after the first night at Ramblewood.You'll have to finalize the set list soon so I can get 'em learnt!
And I can vouch for the generosity of the blanket bearers. Without SInsull's quilt, I'd have been severely frostbitten by the third night. Thanks again, SINS!

Micca and I will DEFINATELY be there this year....I have booked time off work already!!. We will fly out from Heathrow on the 13th October ( Don't know where we will land as yet...possibley the same airport as Micca went to last year...BWI I think) and we aim to fly back to London on the 29th October.

As Micca and I are getting married this year we have decided to postpone our honeymoon until October so we can go to the Getaway and meet 'catters!!

Time has been booked, we have been saving and I nearly have the airfare already!

Well, folks, "Sidewalk Bob and the Bad to the Bone Crazy Monkeys" is just gonna do da one song since these concerts ain't fir but one song and werez gonna do "Bad to the Bone" With the exception of KT, everyone else has heard it and I don't reckon it's gonna wherre anyone's grey matter out playin' in... I'll figure out the tabs. (What tabs, Bobert? It a George Thorgood song, fir gosh sakes and he plays eveythign with one chord.) Nevermind, I get you the *tab*...

Then Iz gonna do a duet, ("Please Keep My Grave Kept Clean" by Blind Lemon Jefferson") with KT and will do a bad recording of it and send it to her. It's gonna be in *D Modal* (double dropped D) tuning.

As fir other stuff, that's what the cabin is for where the band will most likely mutiny, duct tape me to a tree outside and spend the night having big fun....

That quilt and a pillow are still in Tinker's car and will reappear at the Getaway for any needy souls. I will have spare blankets, pillows, towels, toothpaste, too.

Okay, here's my trouble with feathers... I gotta hangup about 'em... Back in the 60's I booked Janis Joplin to kick off a opening of this joint I was runnin' but the agency called about a week before the opening with bad news. Janis was too sick to make the trip but they wewre going to send so guy I had never heard of: Doctor Hohn and thre Night Trippers... What a bunch of pain in the butts... Very demanding and feathers everywhere...

Little did I know that one day Doctor John wouldn't be sucha pain in the bitt or that he'd let go the dozen "colored girls" with the bif feathers. I don't care, They were jerks...

Well , Teresa, last year there was Glenmorangie Madeira cask conditioned and some very fine Canadian beer brought by CET and Charmion from Ottawa, and some very Dangerous Rum and Shrub among many others, so I am sure there would be something to your taste!!
