SRS...Proxomitron supports any browser that can have proxy settings set. It's just a matter of asking Proxomitron "Hey, take a look at everything coming thru my browser and follow the set of rules *I* decide on before you feed it to me".

There are many rules in the default set, and there are links to the few guys who have made a hobby out of writing up new ones....(they are funny, complex little javascript formulas, so I would not dream of writing one myself.) It takes some experimenting to get it just like you want it, but personalization is the point. (and sometimes I have to go up and right click and tell it to bypass Proxomitron because it is blocking something I DO want.

As an aside, does anyone else remember that television commercial from the 1980s I think it was about telephone emergency access for the elderly. In that commercial this old woman falls down the stairs, lays on the floor, and says:

"I've fallen. I've fallen. And I can't get up"

Well that line is immortalized in a children's foot stomping cheer that I collected from the 1980s.

And apparently for some reason that "I've fallen" line [or the way the actress said it] hit some people's funny bone {not me of course since I have no sense of humor at all}.

Azizi, I remember it well. My son, who was in elementary school at the time, drove me crazy with it. He and his friends were constantly falling & being unable to get up.

I don't know why that particular phrase caught on. It was every where.

For a small fee, I could take it up to, say, 3,000 feet and let it drop rapidly in a downward direction.

(For a slightly higher fee, I could try and aim it to land on top of someone or something that deserves to be on the receiving end of a board dropped from a great height).

er ... I got a problem.

Every time I finish making the harness to hoist this thread aloft to drop it from a great height, I find the size of the thread has gone and changed again.

5 times I have had to tack on some extra webbing, and each time the tacking-on has taken long enough for the size to have changed yet again.   And the harness is beginning to look like a banjo player's moke - which is not good, I can tell you.

Will you people keep out of here long enough for me to get the job done!!!

Dangnaggit!   The plan was to fly to 3,000 feet and drop this thread from a great height.

I made sure that no-one was actually on the thread at the time and managed to attach my home made harnesses successfully.   After a somewhat interesting take off run, I got airborne at just after 10 a.m. local.

The stiff breeze aloft was not unexpected, but the result was.   The wind caught the gossamer light thread (hey, come on, no one have ever posted any really heavy stuff in here) and spun it over to make into one of those para-glider chutes.

Dangling underneath, I was helplessly blown miles off course, until the whole dagnanned contraption got caught in a tree half way up the Saddleback mountains.

EMS rescued us and returned everyback to base.

And to add to my dismay, my good buddies at Civil Air Patrol have taken to poking me with wooden sticks.   Just a joke of ours for pilots who do ...er.... non-traditional aviation.

Anyway, this method of disposing of the thread is put onto hold until someone posts something really heavy in here.   Got to have some ballast.
