Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Messages '07-Santas, Come Play! From: GUEST,Helen's Santy Date: 20 Oct 07 - 10:38 PM Sure 'nuff. You do have a Santy. And you play A Celtic harp! Now how long have you been doing that? Are you a beginner, or an ol' pro? Would you believe that old Santa has a few Celtic harps here in his shop! And stacks and stacks of music for them,. Yep! I even play around on those harps now and then. If I'd practice a little more, I'd be able to play a lot better. But Santa just has too many musical toys here in the shop to devote enough time to any one of them. Nice talkin' with you, Helen. |

Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Messages '07-Santas, Come Play! From: Dave'sWife Date: 20 Oct 07 - 11:43 AM Stilly - if you want to send chocolates to OZ santees, consider ordering from a company in OZ who will surely know how to properly package meltables during summer. Also consider sending something chocolate flavored but not meltable. I for one cannot be without this drink mix: Mocafe Azteca D'oro Mexican Spiced Hot Cocoa it is so heavenly on a chilly morning when whipped into hot milk. It also makes a nice ice-blended mocha latte |

Well I thought I knew who you were, but that bit about having been known as a bit of a sea-dog makes me wonder if I was right. I've been a very naughty Santee and not put up a new set of clues this year, but you have obviously scouted around and found my last years' ones. With the exception of the specific request last year for the soundtrack of Amelie, which my last year's SS very kindly gave me, all my likes and dislikes are pretty much the same as last year. I've also been very naughty and been spending less time on Mudcat and more time on Facebook, playing Pirates. ARRR. Be ye of the Pirate persuasion at times? Personally, I think we all have a little bit of pirate in us ;-) |

Tea is good, I have several bins full of boxes and tins of it. I've been hankering for a tin of the Chinese Yunan loose tea (I can't get it here, I have to go or mail order to New York City or Seattle to get it!) Household color schemes? Dust and cat hair probably don't count as real colors . . . I have tons of kitchen gadgets, inherited a number of years ago, but I love to cook and would be interested in local spices or ingredients from your region. I have tons of books, I have a library card, and I work in a library. I believe in redundancy, but probably best to skip this category (unless you've written a book?) I could use a wall calendar with nice photos and enough space to write a little something about a guitar lesson or a trip to the vet on each date. Maybe a calendar from your locality? Does this help? I must ask a personal question, but seeing as secrecy is an issue, I must ask it in a public place lest I give myself away. It concerns question number 9:
Don't wear 'em. Do you wear some other form of clothing, or must I cross garments completely off the list of possibilities? I visualize you sitting in a chair with a ukulele, naked save for a scarf around your neck and a Mudcat shawl around your shoulders. Your assistance is urgently requested to solve this puzzle! Ole Peg Leg has so many pressies to consider now. Since yez not be wanting teeth-bling, I'll be spendin' more on yummies an musik. I'm not a stinjee Pirate mind you - I try to get something for St. Nicholas Day as well as Christmas, so be sure ta look in yer shooz on the appointed day. If yez don't and just wear 'em the livelong day, yer toez might be squishin' the goodies. So sorry ta hear yer lil rattley pals is no more. I likes a good rat and not with cheese and sausage neither. Livin' on a ship, we gets used to them ratties and are right glad when they warn of leaks an imminent sinkings. We tries to bring along rat chow for 'em too (them block type things) so dem ratties'll not be tempted to eat our hardtack & jerky. I find they much prefer fresh fruit and some curds without whey. Healthy buggers, them ratties and much cleaner than sailors or parrots. Pirates only 'ave parrots in da moving pictures. No self-respectin' pirates stand for parrot poops all over the poop-deck..Arrrrh harr harr. An them empty seed hulls are nasty too. Rats is better. I gots a rat ye know. He sits on my shoulder an wraps his long scaly tail round my neck . Hims is called Tuco. He gots brothers named Blondie an' Angel Eyes but they sails on t'other ship with One-Eye Wongo. Tuco is a right fat little ratter but I luvs him. Sings in my ear when happy, he does! So is ratties yer totem animal then? Does figures of 'em bring ye luck? Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Messages '07-Santas, Come Play! From: GUEST,MeganL's Increasingly Surprised Santa Date: 17 Oct 07 - 09:52 AM The person known as One Who Knows has now been interviewed thoroughly and in great detail, and I'm sorry to say that the outcome of the interview does not bode well for what kind of presents are to be sent to the Orkney Islands. (On the other hand, anybody with a bit of cash to spare would be well advised to invest in coal shares). However, no final decision will be made until MeganL has been given a fair chance to defend herself against the allegations made by One Who Knows. What was told me in the strictest confidence does ease my mind quite significantly with respect to the upcoming McMudgather. I was worried about letting a girl of tender disposition loose amongst the likes of Secsy Liz and MacKenzie, but, by the sound of it, there's absolutely no need to fret on that account. If my informant has it right, Ms MeganL should be well and truly capable of looking after herself and maybe the worry should instead be directed towards anybody who is going to associate with her over the upcoming weekend (she did state a certain desire to 'skelp' MacKenzie, maybe someone should issue him with a hard hat for the weekend? But that would be up to his own Santa to see to, I've got problems enough of my own keeping track of this one girl). Megan, my Dear, what do you have to say to all this? And are you ready for your very first Mudgather? Have fun, Megan! MISS |
