Subject: Graeme Miles New Song book From: GUEST,bobcat Date: 22 Apr 07 - 06:04 AM I've just returned from the Grove Folk club in Leeds. What an amazing evening! Graeme Miles (where Ravens feed etc) was there with Martyn Wyndham-Read and Iris Bishop for the launch of a new collection of Graeme's songs...'songs remembered not forgotten'..We were treated to a very special evening. An evening with Martyn is always memorable but it was extra special to have Graeme there and talking about his music. A big thank you to Sam and Ed for collecting and editing Graeme's work and to organising. And to the landlady for letting the evening run on and on!! The book can be ordered through the Folk Leads website or from Sam Dodds.+ |

Subject: RE: Graeme Miles New Song book From: GUEST,Bobcat Date: 22 Apr 07 - 03:33 PM It was a very special evening. Great atmosphere. Graeme has recently become co-editor of Folk Leads, a magazine about folksongs, music and traditions. His drawings add a terrific dimension to the magazine which has now reached issue six. |
