I'm looking for the lyrics to a song called Cunla. It's on the Chieftain's album Another Country. If anyone can help me on this than I would greatly apreciate it.

Before you do it Joe....AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Howdy Charles,

VERY Glad to have you at the Mudcat, we are VERY friendly sort of folk.

In any single year there are over a thousand requests for lyrics.......and only one-in-a-hundred members will click on "request for lyrics".....however, if a thread is titled the name of the song, i.e. Cunla those that relate to it....91.9% will give you a responce.

Now I sincerely, doubt that I have your answer but search back through the 24 hour, reposted discussion for CUNLA and perhaps others can give you a version different than the one I have from Christy Moore.

Seek and Ye Shall Find

JOE---

My sincerest apologies for stepping on your toes....

Given the time of the request...I figured you were not behind the scenes at the moment.

I wuz gonna say, I found it in DT years ago, humsodever, Dick, it had a really weird tune. I'll check it again and see if you've updated it.
Blessings,
Barbara (who is keeping her nose clean by staying off the Phlatulence thread)

Nope, the first part still sounds strange. I think there's something the matter with the time. I can't tell where the words go.

Thanks Dick. You might enjoy knowing that I managed to fit the words to the tune -- it comes out in something like 9/8 -- and I actually sang it that way a few times. People gave me some very wierd looks and comments. So I quit.
The melody may be right. I think it's just the notes in the verse part all have equal value now, and they need to be short and long.
Blessings,
Barbara
