Subject: RE: BS: Nasty Thatcher rightly calls Palin nuts? From: GUEST,Jon Date: 09 Jun 11 - 06:07 PM Not that I'd imagine Thatcher using it, I think one would need to precede "nuts" with the "f" word to get "deranged". Maybe "potty"? |
Subject: RE: BS: Nasty Thatcher rightly calls Palin nuts? From: Little Hawk Date: 09 Jun 11 - 05:49 PM The term "nuts" is a bit indefinite. Do we mean "deranged", "mad", "incompetent", "has a screw loose", "daft", "out of the loop", "empty-headed" or merely "irretrievably stupid"? |

Subject: RE: BS: Nasty Thatcher rightly calls Palin nuts? From: Herga Kitty Date: 09 Jun 11 - 03:55 PM Richard, I'm sure you will have spotted that the comment from a so-called ally doesn't actually amount to Lady Thatcher calling Palin nuts. The Blessed Margaret is quite fragile these days (while hanging my coat up prior to attending a Road Safety Bill committee session in the House of Lords a few years ago I was asked by Palace of Westminster staff accompanying her along the corridor to move out of the way lest she might trip over me and fall). I'm doubtful whether she knows or cares who Sarah Palin is. And while not one of Hilda Margaret's fans, I doubt whether she'd have had time for SP while she was still in possession of her faculties. Subject: BS: Nasty Thatcher rightly calls Palin nuts? From: Richard Bridge Date: 09 Jun 11 - 02:31 PM According to Nicholas Watt in a Guardian blog on Wednesday, Thatcher's allies believe that Palin is "a frivolous figure who is unworthy of an audience". One of Thatcher's "allies" is reported to have said, "Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts." |
