Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 27 Jun 01 - 03:46 PM I've just remembered what it is that the talk about the clicky sound made me think of - the Crocodile in Peter Pan. "Never smile at a crocodile..."

Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: mousethief Date: 27 Jun 01 - 12:39 PM Perhaps they could co-abdicate together. I don't think Spaw needs to tap his heels together and say "There's no place like home." I think they will let him just walk through the front door of the hospital. Alex |
Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: Hollowfox Date: 27 Jun 01 - 12:39 PM This is my first day back at work after Old Songs, and I get this great news! Wheee! LH and MT, don't you mean "Return, 'Spaw, Return!"? |
Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: GUEST,SharonA Date: 27 Jun 01 - 12:37 PM I thought King W was in office because of his brother who's in office because of their daddy. C'mon, Alex, you don't really want Cheney to be king, do you? (shiver) SharonA P.S. Hasn't anyone gotten a pair of ruby slippers to catspaw YET? Y'know, those hospital slippers won't work... |

Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: mousethief Date: 27 Jun 01 - 12:12 PM Well, he wasn't elected, so he's not exactly president. He's only in office because of his daddy. He must be King.
Oh happy day (oh happy day) go spaw! Alex |

Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: Little Hawk Date: 27 Jun 01 - 11:54 AM "Abdicate"? Don't you mean "resign"? It's kings who abdicate. I am greatly looking forward to Spaw's imminent return to the hallowed fields of this forum... Go, Spaw, go! - LH |
Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: wysiwyg Date: 27 Jun 01 - 11:54 AM He kept telling me he felt fine before the surgery... seen this with parishioners. They never knew how good they COULD feel, because the loss of energy had come so slow they thought it was just age and changing activities. One guy we went to see in the hospital, post-op, was a color we had NEVER seen him be.... it's really something. Thinking of the reaction of that 70+-year-old parishioner (*G*) as reported by his wife in later weeks (*G*), maybe some of those Spawbucks will have to go to a little getaway for him and Karen.... *G*G* Kat, be sure he thinks of that before giving it all to Mudcat! *G* ~Susan |

Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: mousethief Date: 27 Jun 01 - 11:51 AM That's the best news I've heard all day! Then again, it's only 8:54 here, there's still a lot of day to go. Who knows? Maybe Bush will abdicate. Naaaaaah. You go, Spaw! Alex |
Subject: RE: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: jeffp Date: 27 Jun 01 - 11:49 AM Wonderful news, indeed! Sort of appropriate that the cafeteria here at work is serving an Independance Day special lunch today, with pulled pork, BBQ chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, creamed spinach, and coleslaw. Don't even want to THINK of the cardiac implications of that one! Get on home, Spaw!!! We love ya! jeffp |

Subject: CATSPAW - Oh Happy Day (probably)!! From: katlaughing Date: 27 Jun 01 - 11:41 AM Just received the following from Connie. Looks as though today will be the day for him to finally be released. We will know for sure later this afternoon. The other thread was getting long, anyway, so even though I am jumping the gun a little, I figured a new one wouldn't hurt. Here's what she had to say: Well the happy phone call finally came! P's INR is 2.4 which should get him a ticket home :) The "Boss" (Dr. Michler) is in town and will see him later today and give him discharge orders. Saw him last night for the first time since before surgery and he TRULY looks better than he has looked since about a year before the bypass surgery, I think that was in '95.
