Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Dani Date: 28 Feb 05 - 06:26 PM Susan, as I recall you are a restaurant person. Time change, sleep deprivation, more money out than in, these are as nothing to you. And besides, you'd really be missed if you weren't there! Dani (Getaway recruiting associate) |

Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: alanww Date: 02 Mar 05 - 12:54 PM Wow! Is this a record? 355 posting in only 42 days! And the event is still 7+ months away! I would love to make it this year (since I had such a great time in 2003), particularly as several Mudcatter friends are going over from the UK. But two trips to China in July & September mean that its just not possible. But my eyes are set on 2006! Have a great time ... Micca, CatsPHiddle, Leadfingers, SussexCarole, Crane Driver, Giok, Skipjack, BillSables, El Greko & Vanessa etc - and, of course, everyone else! "I thought I heard the old man say ..!" Alan |

Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Dani Date: 02 Mar 05 - 03:14 PM I'm tempted to come up earlier than ever this year and stretch out the weekend with the early-bird travellers! Never fear about finding rides and blankets, gentlemen. We'll make sure you get where you're going and are warm and comfy while you're there. All you have to do is show up, sing, and play. Dani |
Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Ferrara Date: 02 Mar 05 - 09:10 PM John & Skarpi, the best thing to do from there is to have some FSGW person pick you up at the airport, take you home, feed you, spend half the night chatting, provide a place to sleep for the night and drive you to the Getaway on Friday. This will happen, if you wish it. It may be too early to set up the details, (or maybe not). Later I think we should have a thread on Getaway Travel Logistics so's we can keep track of who-needs-what. There may be non-Mudcat folks who'd love to help out, too. That's what we did when 24 members of the Shellback Chorus arrived here needing sleeping gear & transportation for the Getaway. If for some reason you don't want to do that we'll help you figure out what you need but ... the FSGW is, always has been, extremely hospitable to visiting musicians. Rita F |

Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: George Papavgeris Date: 11 Apr 05 - 10:04 AM Kendall, I think I prefer not knowing - but tell us this: are orifices involved? SINS, Xander is prepared for the worst; he will be wearing full-body armour. Unfortunately, the armour he intends to use is MY body, but then you wouldn't hurt an innocent little Greek, would you? (blinks beguilingly). La Inglesa hardly ever logs in, but her email is [deleted - contact El Greko for her e-mail (Joe Offer)] |
Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: jacqui.c Date: 11 Apr 05 - 10:45 AM If Kendall gives any clues at all it's back to the cellar with him, on bread and water. He he he he. |
Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: SINSULL Date: 11 Apr 05 - 03:05 PM If Kendall gives any clues, it's 50s rock and 90s rap for him. Knowing is much worse! EG - you are neither innocent nor little. But no orifices are involved...as far as I know. I have my own set of fetishes. Can't speak for the other "ladies". |

Is my best bet starting a thread looking for places I can crash , or what ?? . I am still looking for a cheap flight deal so do not as yet have ANY fixed plans . Also , how do I go about offering my services for a whistle workshop , assuming I am allowed to do that ! |
