Franklin Faust, aka Yamoto. I'd known the man for 20 years, when he decided he was the great love of my life. I didn't know he'd been married five times, before. I never knew he got into fights. I found out that his story about being a Navy Seal was bogus. (Do they have Navy Pigs?) Oh, and he wears Japanese clothes most of the time. He isn't Japanese, he just dresses that way. I lent him $20 to go home on, and considered it money well spent. He hasn't paid back, and he hasn't returned. That second makes me not mind the first.

Awwww geeze, ladies --I been cut up, spit out and put down by a number of women also. I have also been tempted to conclude that it was the whole demimonde that was tainted. It was not individuals, it wass their whole damned gender!!

But I know, and I hope you do also, that, no , it is always someone, and not a kind or class, that sits on the other side of a big upset. One man or one woman.

We are really not different breeds. We steer against different reckonings, but we are on the same map.

The English gesture was to curl the hand as if holding a microphone or rolled up magazine, raise hand to the head with the circle formed flat on to the forehead as if grasping a horn growing there. Move the hand backwards and forwards as if rubbing up and down the imaginary horn.

For a more insulting gesture, use only the forefinger and thumb, creating a much smaller circle.......

Kendall here. I won't go into detail about how many times I have been screwed over by women, but I will say, with the help of a good therapist I was able to find out why I was attracted to inappropriate women and how to avoid them in the future.
Stop blaming others for your problems, find out why you are only attracted to assholes, then do something about it. You have work to do, get on it.
Claiming that ALL men are bastards says more about you than about them.

I believe that women prefer men that are "powerful" rather than just a bad boy....some bad boys of course come across as powerful but cannot sustain it in acceptable ways in a relationship.
Women who respect power and powerful men tend to stick with them.

Never, ever, under any circumstances, marry a man because you're in love with his father. Even if he's a "Jr." Even if he shares a birthday with his father. I did that once a long time ago and in a country far away. He took after his mother (the two-faced bitch . . . and I don't use that term very often).

And I was young and brain-washed enough to stay married to him for 10 years. I refer to it as my "apprenticeship". And, I guess it was good experience. Tom and I managed to find each other and, as of Dec. 15, 2004, we've been together for24 years. Makes even that "apprenticeship" worthwhile -- maybe as fiction fodder.

Well, my ex was married 4 times but only told me about 2. The first he said was his girlfriend in high school whose dad beat her severely and nearly killed her, so he married her to get her away from him. Then next was his ex-wife with whom he had 2 girls. He said that while he was working in the offshore oilfields that she cheated on him with 13 and 14 year old boys. (Actually, I can believe that about her as she would let her now husband trade sex with the girls for drugs with his dealers- sick B****H! Judy Romano Broussard whatever the rest of your name is now, if you ever read this I have a present for you, come to Texas and get it!) I digress, I did not know about the other two though. So the weekend prior to marrying my now wonderful husband, he married some girl he was living with, then the weekend I got married she left him. Later he hooked up with a girl half his age that I actually liked okay. While we were talking one day she said that she was at home telling my ex and his brother how embarrassed that she was to tell her parents that she was going to be wife #3. Imagine her surprise when my ex-brother-in-law informed her that she would be #7. And imagine my shock when I learned I was #5! But even so, the crap that I endured from him and other lying men made me appreciate my husband that I have now. So look at the positives in men, and if possible, get to know his mother. How he treats her and how she treats him will tell you volumes about his character. Susu

It's not that all men are dickheads - it's just the only men some of you women are attracted to are the dickhead type. I think if you paid attention you would see some of the red flags - but you choose to ignore them because the bad ones are so darned attractive. It gives you someone you can mother and fix.

You need to start asking yourselves - why you are drawn to dickheads and why do you keep giving them your phone number ? Are the nice guys just not interesting enough ?

What is YOUR part in all of this ?

I first met her in college. She was gorgeous and she had a boyfriend. He was Mr IT and we knew she was doomed. I met her again years later after the marriage had failed, as had a series of relationships with guys...different name, same type. I just couldn't understand why she couldn't see it. Finally she deliberately got pregnant in her early 40's as a desperate measure to hook a guy who was completely unsuitable and who bolted. Now she's in her 60's, gone to fat, gone to seed. Always she made the wrong choice. It was infuriating to watch it and no one could stop her or help her, although some good men would have fallen at her feet. Of course now, she badmouths all men!

Well, watch out for "Mr. Nice Guy" too... the worst are the ones that seem really nice and have good jobs and good relationships with their mothers... and then stab you in the back when you're already drowning (figuratively speaking, of course). "Mr. Nice Guy" is often a cover for people who'd steal from the tsunami relief fund if they could figure out how to do it without being held acountable for their actions.

Happiness is found within, not in finding that "significant other". Security is found within too. Love is found within. Once one is happy and secure and loving within, then one is in a good position to form many positive relationships on the outside with others...and may find oneself quite content with OR without that one, special, significant other that is mythologized in society as the classic lover or spouse.

That's my take on it.

I would not have seen it that way in my 20's, though. Or in my 30's. I had to learn by hard experience, and it took until my mid-50's to do that.
