Of course EFDSS ~ Folk England ~ is London based and England is a big undertaking

I am not too sure whether there are many dance related clubs which are part of the Folk England society nor indeed song clubs and I mean specifically in and out of London

Living South Yorkshire I am not likely to travel to London and note I aman elderly single man how did that happen? answers on a post card please ~ more interested in song

Regional society affiliated clubs are they, could they, be useful?

yes brought in discussion up at Whitby folk week with society leaders and currently remember too much

any publicity is better than none, what is needed is for those people who are not members to write explaining why, and for EFSS TO PROMOTE ITSELF TO TRY AND GET NEW MEMBERS.
the facebook pageis one of many options, tragetting specific groups?perhaps trying to work with CCE

to be fair, if they are not made aware of why people intersted in folk music are not joining, how can they rectify the situation
apart from other trad music sopcities they could contact maritime song societies
competitions are a double edged sword, but perhaps adult song writing and other adult competitions could be introduced or even consider childrens competitions. I am aware of the disadvantages of competitive events
