Subject: Stolen bouzouki
From: Allan Price
Date: 10 Oct 07 - 12:15 PM

Copied from the Poozies Yahoo group:

To all musicians,

My name is Lughaidh O Broin, a bouzouki player from Dublin. I had a
Paul Doyle Bouzouki stolen from Galway on Saturday morning on the
First of September 2007 outside Kinlay House Hostel off Eyre square.

It is a prototype model which is completly unique, the only one of
it's kind in the world. It is easily recognisable since it has no
sound hole but loads of x shaped holes around the edge.

It was in a Mick Mullen hard black case with a few stickers on the
outside. Two of the stickers were yellow with red sun faces on them.

This Bouzouki has a lot of sentimental value to me.
Please forward this email on to as many musicians as possible,
whatever music they play.

A reward will be given for it's safe return.

Hoping to hear from anybody soon,

Lughaidh O Broin.

Thanks for putting this up Allan, hopefully someone will be able to help. Damien O'Kane's thread above has some very good advice on it about checking EBAY etc. Perhaps that could be passed on?

Message sent to my list. One who steals musical instruments is the worst kind of vermin.

All the best,

Mick

Like stealing a workman's toolbox.
Reprehensible cur!
Good luck in getting it back.

Copied from "banjo" thread:-
Check ebay SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, something put on "buy it now" can go within minutes.
Also check "completed listings" daily.
To do this type   "banjo" into "buy", click search, (all banjos for sale will come up) go to yellow sector on left side of page, scroll down, tick box "completed listings" scroll down, click search.
This will bring up all the banjo sales for the last few weeks, click on any that might be the stolen one, scroll down as the picky will be at the bottom of the page.
If he has to buy a new one, tell him to take it down the vets & get it chipped!
Good luck.

Am I ever going to get a chance to bump this thing???? Every time I log in to bump it, one of youse layabouts have already done it. Not wanting my Jeri pissed at me, I don't bump it, as I'm not bumping it now. We can't have too many bumps on one day, after all. The Bump Bureau of Homeland Security would have us all in their sights.

Not bumping Mick

Is there any way to put up a picture, so people can watch out for it in pubs and at gigs?
