There will be a tribute to Utah today on KVMR Nevada City at 2PM PDT
On the show will be The Feather River Kid, Kuddie, Che Greenwood, and Dakota Sid Clifford, live in the studio. They're going to call me sometime between 2 and 3. The show goes til 4.

We watched the video of Kendall and Utah from the Nevada County show of April 2006. What a great pair! I wish the best for both of you...and
hope that our music festival in chico tomorrow can bring some benefit
for Utah. I wish I had several of those videos, as there have been a few benefits I would offer one to for a silent auction, raffle or similar fund raiser.

The Ann Arbor show was wonderful. The lineup was awesome, and I could have gone on listening to them all night. They only did 2-3 songs each. I wanted MORE!

We had a call-in from Utah himself during the show. He sounded in good spirits, and told some funny stories, altho he said he often feels very weak.

I was disappointed in the turnout, though. I don't know how much they actually made on the night. There were a lot of CDs sold.

Maybe Ann Arbor is too far (from Detroit) to go these days (it was an hour drive for me) with the price of gas so high-- I saw 3.95/gal along the way. Maybe people are watching their wallets more (this is Michigan, after all). Or maybe Ann Arbor just isn't as radical as it used to be.

Utah turns 73 today, long may he wave! When he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in the mid'90's he was told that 50% of the people getting that diagnosis don't live 5 years. So he has beaten the odds. I wish him many more years and hope that his health improves. I hope that others of you on Mudcat will join me in wishing him a Happy Birthday.
