There are a number of us here who have purchased Henrik Norbeck's program ABCMUS Ver 1.1. A number of people have reported that its playback tempo is TOOOO SLOOOOOOW. Henrik provides a simple answer below.

There is an error somewhere along the road Abcmus -> Midisys.dll - -> Windows MIDI system -> MIDI driver -> etc This has the effect that on certain systems, the tempo becomes way too slow (I think by a factor 6). I included a fix in version 1.1 for this. Under "MIDI and Playback Options", set "Speed for direct MIDI playback" to 600 %.

I have a version of ABCMUS that has a different quirk. Tunes entered in the key of Ab (four flats) don't play correctly until you change the key to A.
