Subject: RE: Ewan McColl songbook out? From: Bat Goddess Date: 09 May 01 - 02:22 PM Try www.pegseeger.com (but I haven't checked yet). I think she was working on one. (Now I'll go check and see if I have a clue as to what I'm talking about.) Bat Goddess |
Subject: RE: Ewan McColl songbook out? From: Bat Goddess Date: 09 May 01 - 02:29 PM Okay, I just did what I should have done in the first place: checked Peggy Seeger's website. Which says: The Essential Ewan MacColl Songbook is to be published Summer 2001 and Journeyman (Ewan MacColl's autobiography), which was published by Sidgwick and Jackson in 1990 but is no longer available. It is to be republished shortly. Hope this helps. (I know I'm gonna be first on the list -- and Curmudgeon and I have a lot of his stuff published in the '60s & '70s) Bat Goddess |
Subject: RE: Ewan McColl songbook out? From: Charley Noble Date: 09 May 01 - 08:34 PM Thanks for the info. Peggy Seeger had her own songbook published about 3 years ago, The Peggy seeger Songbook by Oak Publications, which is available for about $30. Nice to have what she's done in one book, with some comments on each song. |
