Subject: RE: Words for John Prine song From: Roger Himler Date: 14 Jul 98 - 05:57 AM Yeah, I got the album wrong. The song Bruised Orange is on Prine's album of the same name, Bruised Orange. If John would entitle his songs in a more logical manner I could appear more competent. Roger in Baltimore |

Subject: RE: Words for John Prine song From: Roger Himler Date: 13 Jul 98 - 06:47 PM Dear Bob, I feel deep shame that I cannot come up with this lyric. I believe the song was on Prine's Sweet Revenge LP. I learned this song once, and can only recall fewer words than you have posted. I checked the DT, and it is not there. It is also not on the OH BOY Records Web-Site. I'll do a little web-search. There must be some compulsive Prine fan out there. Roger in Baltimore |
Subject: Words for John Prine song From: bfabbro@cp.duluth.mn.us Date: 13 Jul 98 - 10:22 AM I'm looking for the title and words to a John Prine song about a boy who is killed by a local commuter train "that was comin' so slow". In the song John sings about being on his way to the church "to shovel some snow" when he hears sirens on the train track. Bob Fabbro |
