Subject: Young Folk Artists - Market Rasen From: Rasener Date: 13 Mar 04 - 08:15 AM I have now started a new folk club at Market Rasen, every other Friday, starting on March 26th. I have 2 floor spots each session for young talent (under the age of 21 - as a guide). Anybody that may be interested, please let me know on this thread. I really want to give youth a chance. Many thanks Les |

Subject: RE: Young Folk Artists - Market Rasen From: Strollin' Johnny Date: 13 Mar 04 - 03:36 PM Don't forget us oldies Villan, the slates may be off the roof but there's still a fire in the grate! Good to meet you last night, looking forward to your club's 'First Night'. Johnny :0) |
Subject: RE: Young Folk Artists - Market Rasen From: Rasener Date: 13 Mar 04 - 05:28 PM Well there is a big enough grate for everyone. Yes roll on the first night. I wonder how many youngsters there are below 21 on mudcat? |
Subject: RE: Young Folk Artists - Market Rasen From: Strollin' Johnny Date: 14 Mar 04 - 03:12 AM Hey Les, well we've a couple of real good 'uns in Gainsborough - Lucy, a young lady with a wonderful voice and a better fiddler than she likes to admit, and her young man (whose name I forget - it's an age thang - Paul?) who's becoming a fine guitar player (and can sing too). Problem is they're away at Uni and only home occasionally. However, they will be strongly encouraged by us old duffers to make the pilgrimage to Rasen when they're home. All the best, Johnny :0) |
Subject: RE: Young Folk Artists - Market Rasen From: Rasener Date: 14 Mar 04 - 05:50 AM That sounds excellent Strollin'. Keep em coming. The young ones, Darling we're the young ones, And young ones shouldn't be afraid. To live, love While the flame is strong, For we won't be the young ones very long. Tomorrow, Why wait till tomorrow, Tomorrow sometimes never comes. Love, me, There's a song to be sung And the best time is to sing while we're young. We should all listen to Sir Cliff :-) |
