WOW!! I'm sure glad mudcat had the words to "In The Hills of Shiloh. I can quit doing this one now.

Have you heard Amanda sing,
In the hills of Shiloh,
Makes your poor head thump and ring,
In the hills of Shiloh,
Have you seen her runnin' 'round,
Hittin' on all the guys in town,
And where the hell's her wedding gown?
Where?
In the hills of Shiloh.

When you looked it up, Dan'l, did you see it was by the late Shel Silverstein? He'd probably have appreciated the parody and written a couple more verses.

hi Barbara, we've got Bobby Bare's album Lullabys, Legends and Lies, all the songs on it were written by Shel, including In the Hills of Shiloh. if you'd like we could make a tape for you and bring it with us; he had such an amazing mind. looking forward to seeing you and spread- ing the music. Nancy

Silverstein was one of my favorites. That parody came up one night when I couldn't remember the last verse. Thinking of it was the longest 20 or 30 seconds of my life.

I am sincere when I say I'm glad someone had it written down. Not many songs send chills up my spine, but that one always has.

Dan'l
