My husband wants to find the lyrics to a song from his college days (Masochistic Baby) One of the lines is: ***Ever since my Masochistic Baby went and left me, I've got nothin' to beat but the rug. He says there were MANY verses and he can only remember a few. I would be thankful for any help.

"Masochistic Baby" was written by Shel Silverstein and Mike Settle. A recorded version can be found on the album "The Gateway Trio" (Capitol T 2184, 1964 or 65). Perhaps the Silverstein link will trigger someone with good Silverstein collection to come up with the lyrics. If not I will try to transcribe them from the album.

I'm looking for the lyrics for this song that I haven't heard for years. I can only remember bits - something like..

Remember the "Masochistic Baby" song well. it goes something like this. Ever since my masochistic baby went and left I've got nothing to hit but the wall. Now she's the one,I'm thinking of Because you always hurt the one you love.
