Subject: (Where) Did Behan Sing 'Black and Tans'? From: GUEST,BB Date: 09 Sep 23 - 12:18 PM I think it's well-enough known that Dominic Behan wrote "Come Out Ye Black and Tans". however, I'm trying to figure out if he sung it; I'm sure he did live anyways, but I can't find any extant recordings. If it is recorded, it might be under the name "Come Out and Fight", as according to Wolfgang in this thread, that's what it's called in his book The Singing Irish. It would be quite disappointing if there's no recording by the man himself of probably one of the most-recorded Irish folk songs ever! |
