Ahhhh, nah, that might be a tad embarressin but, heck, if I was drunk, I wouldn't know it! No really, this BS/nonBS crap is all BS! And I ain't talkin' Boy Scouts either! Makes me madder than my couzin Rufus was when I told him that most of the NASCAR drivers are gay! Yep! Boy, was ol' Rufe was hotter than a three dollar pistol. Wouldn't talk with me fir three months! And how about all these SUV'ers who think that because their wimpy butts are behind the wheel of a gas guzzelin' sled of an automobile, that they are now the meanest and badest people on the planet? And how come you don't get milk anymore with the cream on top? Yeah, that really gripes me... Well, ol' bobert could just go on and on but.... ...this is a "Rant Here" thread fir any Catter who has found the Catbox over flowin' or has anything else on their mind. From: Liz the Squeak Date: 29 Apr 03 - 02:55 AM Don't get me on a rant, I spent over 3 hours ranting last night from everything from comparative religions to how long I'd been with a particular person and how my opinion of them has changed because of some things they did to me a while ago and how they keep on doing it still! Then we started on marriage! I have aphids on my roses too..... gonna go and squish 'em later today. I also have 3 cats who demand attention. A previous cat was so demanding he managed to jump on the keyboard, corrupt the C drive programming and save the corruptions. We had to strip down and start from ground level again! Gonna spend some time today petting and loving all three, then nuke the buggers with anti flea juice. Then there is the (happily now ex) manager who is still insisting that he is above all health and safety requirements - he's fixed his desk so that it has created no fewer than 10 hazards, and that's before he sits down! I point it out and I'm picking on him, I don't point it out and he's at risk... as a risk assessor and H&S rep, I can't do that! ARRGGHHH! However, it is a glorious day outside, after a rainy one yesterday, there's a blackbird singing just outside the window, I've got the day off work and a full sized chocolate rugby ball to eat. There are good things in the world, you just have to be a pessimist - that way, you are prepared for the worst, but it's always a lovely surprise if things go right. LTS |

Like you didn't feel it at the time!! Security caps on some medication containers. My neighbor called me yesterday to open his medication as his Arthritic hands couldn't get the cap off!! he had been trying for 2 hours before I came home...where is the Logic!! and I have to rant slightly about the people that post here nameless and then proceed to verbally abuse folk on the Forum. I know I know, rise above it,I am taking my lead from the more experienced members but Dang if it aint hard to keep your react fingers still when someone is just being cruel and malicious:>~ Well there you go...don't amount to too much really considering some of the troubles around but sometimes it does you good to just say the little stuff. It fits my needs, and yes, I do go off-road with it, and carry stuff in it. We used to be able to get milk with cream on top at a local produce specialty store - they got it from an Amish dairy in Illinois or Ohio. I don't know if they carry it any more. Something REALLY yummy, though, is the Brown Cow organic yogurt with cream on the top. It's not cheap, but neither are candy bars, and it makes a much more nutritious treat. This week, my biggest gripe is people who think they are "leaders" just because their job title has the word "director" in it. |

I've come to understand that posting on a discussion forum is much like performing a piece of music in public. Difficult pieces of music require much practice and preparation before they are fit for a public hearing, if justice is to be done to the music at all, and the performer cares about their reputation as a musician. It's the same with posts on the Cat - man can a lot of godawful wrong notes result if the message is inadequately prepared! Hurtsa my ears, to say the least! At this rate they'll have the whole cast dropping out of the Production from exhaustion!!!! Another thing that gets me is when people whinge incessantly. There's a guy at college who does that. I punched him the other day!! I'm usually quite calm, but I lost it and belted him one!! You really shouldn't have started this thread! I've got tons more to complain about, but I'm going to resist the temptation.... And as for buses!!! The number of times the timetable has been rejigged in the year so far!! I'm surprised I haven't missed more of them!! And I hate narrow minded people who reckon their opinion is law and nobody else's counts. One of my lecturers is like that. He'll ask a question and ask your opinion on something, and then, when you've said everything you want to say about what you think, he'll turn round and say "Yes, well, really you should think this, this, this, and this." Fair enough, i explain, and she comes out with "So?? Vote anyway! For me!!!" I walked off. I was irritated as it was. Oh, and another!! Small children on buses whose parents don't get them to modulate the volume level!! On the bus today as I was going through Whitley, a small child and it's mother got on. I was upstairs, the small child was downstairs, but I still got a headache from it. And then, more small, noisy little brats got on the bus as I was going to college!!!! It sounds like a zoo!!!!!!! I don't mind small children, except when they're screaming for no reason. I felt like throwing this particular small child and it's associates on the bus out of the window. One of them even attempted to hit me. I nearly slapped the little brat!!!!! And ....relax! |

It is now so common that I think some drivers must think it is part of the Highway Code: Drivers waiting to turn from a side road into a more major road, who "nose" their cars further and further out into the oncoming traffic. The ones who say, "Oh, and a pint of Guinness, please", at the end of the order. Guinness takes several minutes to pour, it is like watching paint dry. Why couldn't they ask for it at the start of the order, so we can let it pour while pulling everything else. The ones who disappear from the pub to answer their mobiles while you try and ask whether they want anything else, collect the money or proffer change. And the ones who stand, oblivious to polite requests, blocking the hatch leading from behind the bar to in front of it. I can postpone collecting empty glasses, but I have to get down to the cellar to change barrels now. Just you stand there like a lump a bit longer, mate. I'll show you what being a prop forward is about. Enough. Perhaps I won't need to do the job much longer. |
