I have a copy. Peggy Seeger gave it to us. It is available from Oak Publications for $29.95 and should be available from other booksellers. I don't think it is "complete", but nearly complete. There are 196 songs in it at 420 pages. Michaelr - what is your email and I will send it to you?

My copy from Waterstones book shop Leeds UK ask for Dave Eckersley also know as Dave Herron, who has reissued one of Roy Palmers books on Sea and Sailors books

I did a Bookfinder.com search under the ISBN, 0711962928. Amazon.co.uk says the book is available for 28.99 Sterling - title shown at amazon.co.uk is The Complete Ewan MacColl Songbook. I checked the ISBN on my Essential songbook from Oak Publications, and the UK ISBN is the same as what's listed at Amazon.co.uk. So, apparently it's the same book, but there are different titles in the UK and US - could be there may be other slight differences. When somebody buys the UK edition, maybe we can compare. My US edition has 420 pages. There's a nice memorial to Kirsty MacColl on page 419.

This book has an Appendix which lists a couple of Mac Coll songs missing in that book (especially several from the radio ballads).

The Essential Ewan MacColl Songbook, is listed in chapters here in Canada as being published by Oak publications in 2001. Is it possible there is also a Complete Ewan McColl?

Perhaps a reversal of a technique I've used to order French books not available in the US would work for you here--I ordered them from Amazon UK. They had the European books and I could read their site so I could place my order! Perhaps if you search the UK Amazon site, they can do the same thing, get an American book to you in Europe. Or you could just try the American amazon site and see what happens.

It's a wonderful piece of work. It's called The Essential Ewan MacColl Songbook, sixty years of songmaking - I don't know if it's a complete collection of all his songs, but it sure has a lot of them.

I was in Aberdeen, Scotland. Bruce Millers in Union Street had offered to order it for me. So it is commercially available in the UK through their ordering system.

Hi all folkies,

Hope I haven`t missed a thread on this, but I can`t find any information on it.

I believe the "Comple Ewan McColl Songbook" has been published by Omnibus Press, ISBN: 0711962928. However I have tried to order it from Germany but have so far been unsuccessful.

Any Mudcatters have this book and anyone know where I can get it?
