2004 is the 50th festival and Derek Schofield is writing the history of the festival, and the book will be published in June. He is still
looking for photos of the festival, especially the song and music sides.

For example, The Watersons and Young Tradition in 1966, Packie Byrne in 1967 or 1968, Louis Killen in 1965 or 1970, Martin Carthy and Dave
Swarbrick in 1969. And then song guests right through the 1970s up to
the present day. Also ceilidh bands, photos of LNE, etc.

Sorry Kitty, my first Sidders was'nt until 1974, But I'll have a look through Dads old negs and see if I can turn anything up.

I wonder what happened to all the pictures, cine film, and video that Pete the Red shot over the years? They must have been archived somewhere after he passed away.

Peter the Red's cine has been copied to video and copies can be bought from JKL Video in Sidmouth (stall at Arena during the festival). Thanks for looking for photos.

No need to shout. I just get generally p'd off when people can't be bothered to read a thread properly before posting and asking about something that's already been clearly stated.

It's sort of understandable that people may miss things when a thread has a few dozen long postings but in this case there were only 6 posts above that one and no post more than a few lines long, hardly onerous.

Just in a Victor Meldrew mood I guess ;-)
That may not be a clear reference for non UK catters (don't know how well known the show is elsewhere)
