Help: Dulcimer strings

I need help in finding ball end dulcimer strings. Everywhere I check, I only find loop end ones. Unfortunately, I cannot use loop ends on one of my instruments.

I'd prefer websites so I can order online. I checked Juststrings.com. No dice.

There's one set at Elderly Instruments which doesn't say "loop end." You might call them and ask. Also, Spaw told me it was okay to use banjo strings. I have with no problem, so maybe you can find them with ball ends, more easily? I look some more, too.

Basically what I told kat is true.....just get the gauges you want in banjo individuals.

I've had the problem on one of my instruments, and found that I could salvage a "ball" from another string, slip it into the loop, and with only moderate dexterity get it to work quite nicely. You may have to hold it together until you get a little tension on the string.

This may not work with all kinds of balls, and you can't do it if you don't have the balls for it, but...
