Initial details from the official LD site are:
"LONNIE D"
The brand new musical depicting the life of the well known "King of Skiffle" and "Godfather of Rock", LONNIE DONEGAN.
The shows title "Lonnie D" is taken from the title of one of Chas & Dave's songs which is used as the opening and title song of the production. The song was cleverly written as a tribute to Lonnie, with the lyrics of the song are made up of the titles (and some of the key frases) of Lonnie's hits.
The first half of the show depicting the life and many of Lonnie's hits performed by a huge cast including members of Lonnie's original group and his two eldest sons; - Anthony & Peter Donegan.
The second half of the show will be Lonnie's act as it was on his last electrifying Great British tour. Performed by Lonnie's original group which includes Pete Oakman, the original founder of the Bruvvers (Joe Brown and the Bruvvers) who as been a member of Lonnie's band for almost 40 years.Plus Peter & Anthony Donegan who were members of the band for the last tour will front the group performing all of Lonnie's songs and hits from that tour, together.
But you must always expect the unexpected!! Because the second half is set up as Lonnie's live act, there is always room for guest artists to drop by and jam!! :-)
The show is co-written by Lonnie's wife Sharon & her friend, Leah Bell, a well know entertainer from the North East.

The show will open at; -
