Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lyrics + singers of a song From: Kevin Sheils Date: 31 Mar 04 - 06:49 AM If it was a Les Barker piece then we have a "fairly" regular member at my Thursday club who has all the LB books and seems to know what's in which for all of them. If he's there tomorrow I'll ask him, unless someone posts first. |

Subject: Lyr Req: Lyrics + singers of a song From: GUEST,Allan in the Isle of Man Date: 30 Mar 04 - 01:28 PM Does anyone know a folk song which is about a folk festival, going through all the instruments (Something about "Like a seagull in season he answers the call"), and which concludes with the line "The Irish are brainwashing us and we can't do it back". Heard it years ago, but I don't know who it's by, or what all the lyrics are. i seem to remember it was by a singer who often did skittish songs etc, (Did some recitations about Harold the Ventrillequist king of England, Scot of East Acton, and some others. Can any one help? |
