I can't wait!
I do believe that Usain is playing games, and deliberately "creating a sense of theatre".
I'm certain, that come the finals, he will win - handily!
My favourite events are the middle and long distance races.
BTW, the 100m race is - for me - like a one page novel compared to the full-blown epic novel that is, for example, the 1500m with all its plots and sub-plots.

Olympic Stadium
Men
Heats for 1500 m, 400m hurdles, and 3000m steeplechase Friday, August 3. Also long jump, hammer throw and shotput; final in shotput also on August 3.
Women
100m and 400m heats, 10,000m final, Triple jump Q and discus, first part of heptathlon, on Friday, August 3.

Walks and Marathon to be held at the Mall.
