Back in the late 50s we used to sing

"My old man's a dustbin
He wears a dustbin lid
He's such a dirty bugger
That he piddles down the grid"

Of course, all these variations illustrate superbly how oral tradition works. Same with joke telling, I suppose.

I know it was 14 years ago when I posted the teaser based on MOMAD but I missed a line out. After line 6 it should read:
They laid him on a stretcher, they laid him on a bed,...

I recently taught it to my 9-year-old grandson in London and he and his mates have been making up new verses! Oh dear, in bother again!
