Subject: RE: Still missing Lonnie From: Jim Dixon Date: 17 Nov 02 - 02:19 PM I'd like to hear more about how you got those kids to sing. Will you be working with them again? Will you try singing again? Have you ever tried singing actual work songs, such as sea chanteys, while doing serious physical labor? |
Subject: Still missing Lonnie From: greg stephens Date: 15 Nov 02 - 09:02 PM Always a mistake writing when youre tired and emotional BUT Spent all day with hard kids in Winsford(except they werent hard at all) on a waste/recycling project and got them singing My Old Mans a Dustsman and they shouted their bloody heds off and then went up the Greyhound with Mark from the band and talked of punk(he's a serious that era Mancunian) and we had quite a few and then we come back and I played him unfamiliar Donegan records and it all fell into place and then Peta came round to pick up Mark with their Lily(1 month) and we had a couple of Toddies and listened to Leadbelly amd Lily slept but imbibed it through her pores. A day of respect to those giants on whose shoulders we attempt to precariously perch while splitting our infinitives. RUUUUUUUUUTH |
