I'm intrigued by the dish with "BBQ" and the one with pommes "Granny Smith." I'm reminded of the time I was watching Univision (Spanish language TV) some years back. They were reporting on pro wrestling and flying along in a melodic spanish punctuated by references to a "Rocky Johnson." It was wonderful.

I have never met him so perhaps panache is the wrong term. Based on the descriptions of those who do know him it cetainly seems as though he has something. Maybe several things.

The flippin' goofball is back in jail! For New Years, eh? I seen it comin'. He made a bunch of the ushewall revolutins this year like he always does, eh?

Like, he said he was gonna get drunk a hole lot more and have a hole lot more sex too and then marruy Shania Twain. Ha! Ha! NOT!!!!!    Well, maybe the getting drunk part, yeah. He did do that, I gess.

But still. this is excruishiatin'ly embarfasing. Un-flippin' be-LEE-vable! I laffed till I fell down cryin' when I heard about it.

I wondre how long the poor flipper is in for this time? His officer Dana (the cold bithch) has gived up on him. She sees that he is beyond help, eh? Too flippin' bad, but she is cold as a fish in my apinion cos she turned me donw at least 3 times now...so maybe not.

Well, his brother said Shane was in durance vile, i.e., jail (or gaol). Since that's his second home he'll probably be okay for the winter, and may even come out in the Spring wealthier than when he went in.

But I doubt it.

Was a time I would begin to despair when the thread would slide off the page. I had my moments of doubt about the future. Now I don't worry. There are enough of us now to keep it from staying down for too long. I might even be willing to be a little Shamble-istic if I thought it was needed. Up to now I haven't liked to bring a thread (any thread) back up if I was the last one to post but right now am thinking I will no longer allow that to prevent me. The thread is more important than my pride. So what if poeple think I am sad little person with no friends and nothing better to do than reply to himself. I know I could have friends if I wanted to, I just don't want to, that's all. I'm pretty busy anyway, I'm only up to 1999 in my quest to read every word of every thread that has ever been on the Mudcat. It's fascinating really, so many folks with so many thoughts. None of them are about me but I don't mind. I matter, I'm a valuable person and some day the world will see that. There will come a time when the world will not just pass me by like so much refuse to be put on the curb for the trashman to take away. Then you will all be sorry you treated me this way. Can't stay any longer just now, I have to go lance my boil.

We had a cold snap last week, following a stretch of nice warm weather. Seems like the warmth brought out the frogs, and when the Blue Norther hit the frogs all dove into the water at once. Only the water froze before their legs got in the water, and there was this mass of frog legs sticking up above the ice -- frogs were all dead, of course.

Well sir, The Ropin' Rompin' Ranger got out a lawn mower and collected them frog legs. Got himself a bushel and a half, took 'em up to the Legion Hovel, and they had a big frog leg feed up there. It was made more joyous by the tank car of beer they'd managed to switch off the main line and stashed in the barn.
