Subject: RE: Tech: Noteworthy Composer chord symbols From: Howard Kaplan Date: 12 Jan 08 - 11:19 PM If you're doing chord symbols, you may eventually find that you wish you'd put them all closer to or further from the staff. If you highlight a stretch of music, including the notes, text, and barlines, and then right click the highlighted area (or press Alt-Enter), you'll find that the dialog box has a separate tab for "Expression placement". You can use this tab to make global changes to all of the text within the highlighted area: its position above the staff, its placement with respect to the notes, etc. |

This will bring up a dialog box where you can edit it. The Alt+Enter trick brings up the appropriate dialog box for whatever is highlighted (highlit?). If nothing is highlighted, it brings up the Staff Properties dialog. Very handy. |

Subject: Tech: Noteworthy Composer chord symbols From: GUEST,Murray on Saltspring Date: 11 Jan 08 - 11:16 PM I'm putting chord symbols on top of the staff in NWC, e.g. E B7 etc, with the "X" command ["text expression"], and it works fine - BUT there seems to be no method of removing or changing them!! Any advice on this? Yours in desperation.... |
