Speaking as a regular reviewer for and contributor to LT, I'm used to delays in copy appearing, missed pulblication dates, and last-minute 'could you?' requests. I rather like that somewhat quirky modus operandi! - it's endearing but I can quite see why subscribers are wondering 'wh'appen?'.
The last issue Folk Clubs got for door sales in the UK was the Tom Bliss cover (no.82) so Pauls' comment about issue 83, whose cover appears on the website is all the more puzzling.
Come home soon LT - the children are missing you!

It's not the first time it's been late. I'm sure we'll get it eventually.

From what I've heard the magazine runs on a shoestring and the admin is a bit of a shambles, probably a question of too few people doing too much work.

It's bad news for it to be too late though, as many adverts are event related and will go stale, discouraging advertisers from repeating the experience. It's generally an excellent mag - I hope it keeps going.

The best magazine for folk and traditional music IMHO, far ahead of anything we have here in Ireland. That's why I have a subscription.

I have greatly enjoyed Living Tradition subscriptions in the past, as well as email conversations with Pete. Wish I still could get it now. It's well worth a wait.

They're doing their best to catch up, but with all the hassle and losing one of their staff it will take its time. Try a little patience, please! After all, TLT is well worth looking forward to ...

Probably the strangest part of the situation is that Issue 83 appeared to find its way to Australia but still has to surface in UK. We had a lovely review in it but only managed to read it thanks to an Antipodean friend who kindly scanned the review and sent it as a .jpg.

I don´t seem to have had many issues for a bi monthly magazine.

Seen the website I was hoping someone might expand on that.

I've just realised that I paid my subscription I forget how long ago and have only received one issue. To be honest I'd forgotten all about it.

Do you mean this statement on Living Tradition

Issue 84
our next issue

Our next issue is in preparation and will include features on Bob Wood, Archie Fisher, Jeff Davis, Bram Taylor and much more.

This issue has been delayed for a number of reasons but primarily because of ongoing issues relating to our Summer Schools in 2007 when we became 'whistleblowers' in a complex situation involving (allegedly) property developers, local Councillors and a 'botched building' being declared Dangerous.

Well I could think of quite a few things that are probably not happening, but that would not be very relevant. I suppose the implication of the question is possibly that something is not happening that should be happening. Like, for example, the magazine being published?
